Coding using the Edison Robot (Grades 5-6)

Edison is a versatile, Lego-compatible robot that sparks creativity and innovation in students. In this session, participants will explore how students can use Edison’s sensors, programming tools, and Lego  to design inventive solutions to real-world challenges.  In this PD, you will:

  • Code Edison by sequencing barcodes to navigate mazes and complete other challenges
  • Code Edison using EdScratch, a program that uses drag and drop blocks
  • Review how Edison can be incorporated into your teaching

All activities connect directly to the ELA, Math, Science, and Arts Education curricula, providing meaningful and engaging learning experiences that combine creativity, problem-solving, and computational thinking.
