What is the Role of AI in Art?
SaskCode is partnering with Taking It Global to introduce “What is the Role of AI in Art?” a program that teaches AI literacy through music and art. AI literacy is more than just learning how to get better answers from ChatGPT. AI literacy includes understanding how AI works, understanding the capabilities and limitations of AI, and understanding the ethical issues surrounding AI. Guided by Canadian educators and the UNESCO AI Competency Framework for students, Taking it Global has created lessons that get students to evaluate AI as a songwriting tool. Students have fun generating song lyrics, but also gain the knowledge to critically evaluate AI as a songwriter. Join us at this PD session to walkthrough the lesson, explore the teacher resources provided, ask questions, and to try out the songwriter AI for yourself!
